Write a short press release to announce that your company, Xsellnet, has won the "Technology Company of the Year" award. Use the answers from Listening 2 above to give a short history of the company. (See Style guide, page 30).
I am very excited because our company won the "Technology Company of the year" award. It was a long way to finally get to this happy ending. In 2002 we went through a difficult financial period, due to that we had forced to borrowed money from a bank. After that, our company took a difficult decision and was taken over by Wireless Ltd. The new corporation have experienced a difficult period of integration, but now we could say that was part of the past, we really appreciatte this recognition.
We are very pleased to announce that Xsellnet was recently recognized as the “Technology Company of the Year”. We are particularly proud to receive this acknowledgment, after the hard work done by all Xsellnet employees, shifting the difficult financial period we went through in 2002 and the following Wireless Ltd attempt to integrate us to its company. We want to take this opportunity to dedicate this award also to highlight the work of financial leaders while raising borrowed funds that let the company started trading independently. Thanks to all and each of you to make it possible.

As founder of the company let me remember how difficult was the path we crossed over up to these days. In the early 2002 we suffered big profit losses and with no other choice we decided to take a banking loan. However, our weak financial position made us vulnerable to resist purchase attempts from other companies. That was exacly what happened a little later. Xsellnet was taken over by Wireless Ltd. The first period in the integration was hard but we could improve that. Now day, we are glad to write these words.
