  1. My Favourite Free-time Hobby

I was an 9-year-old child when I discovered I loved drawing. It all began after seeing my aunt's amazing paintings hung on the wall of my living room.

When I did my First Communion that year, my aunt gave me as a gift a big case with lots of pens, pencils, water colours and oil pastels, and a painting notebook. So that summer, as we used to spend all the holidays at our countryside house, I sat everyday under a huge fig tree painting on mornings. In the evenings my family and I used to go for a walk and stargazing at night.

I found painting very entertaining and delightful, it was the best thing to do because there wasn't any kind of shopping centre or cinemas around. And as soon as I went back to school, I took part in fine art lessons and I even attended to an academy to learn how to draw and paint.

Nowadays, I still paint some weekends as a relaxing activity after work and to keep my creative skills alive. I'd highly recommend this activity since it's an economical hobby and help develop creativity.

  2. MODELLING - Keep your imagination awake!

I found modelling an amazing way to spend my free time not long ago. I was playing with a boy I look after and we decided to get some clay out. He loves cars and planes, so he asked me to make some for him. Surprisingly the result was excellent! We loved it and I started to make more and more different things. The time went by so quickly that we suddenly realised we had spent the whole morning making new creations.

This is an activity I really enjoy because it is very creative, relaxing and I feel extremely satisfied when I finish it and see the final product. Sometimes I even take a photo of it. In addition I am able to evade from real life and forget all my problems even though it is only for a few hours.

At first I thought making three-dimensional models was only for professionals but I have checked out by myself that everyone can give it a try.

  3. Do it yourself!

I went crazy to find a gift to my best friend’s birthday. In reality, I didn't know what to gift her. She had a lot of things. So, I just wanted her surprise.

One day, I was surfing on the internet. I found a page which explained how you can make original and creative presents. I had realized that I liked to create or produce something. I had discovered my passion five years ago.

Nowadays, my friends order me different things. I have made some cards (almost for birthday ) toys and lamps with recycled material. I had even converted old clothes in new. While I am creating, I am relaxing. My creativity has increased the last year and my hands are working quickly. It is very amusing for me. When, I went back to college I start to work. There are three rules for me. The first, you imagine what you want it to make. The second, you use old things you want not it. Finally, listen to music and let yourself go. The result will be amazing!

If you have not any money but you want to surprise somebody. This is the clue for do yourself. You could save and making a good impression your free time. To create useful and wonderful presents for your friends or for yourself. It is gratifying! You can to visit my web www.thingsrecycled.com and get a lot ideas.
